Joe Litchfield has been known as a 200m freestyle specialist over the years, however, it was the 100m butterfly at British Trials where he turned in 6th at the 50, before storming home to touch the wall fastest and make selection on the British Team.

So what does an elite athlete about to embark on the biggest race of his career work on in the final week of training?

“I will keep refining the 1% stuff, keep everything around the edges in check and really focus on recovery and how to get the best out of myself in the last few sets that we have left.”
