
Els Visser wins Challenge Canberra
Exciting news! Els has just secured a stunning victory at the inaugural Challenge Canberra, marking her fourth win of the year and adding another impressive layer to her season. In a thrilling head-to-head battle, she triumphed over Fenella Langridge, with both athletes neck and neck until the final meters.
Starting the race in sixth place after the swim, Els showcased her exceptional power on the bike, steadily closing the gap. By the 60km mark, she had risen to second place. Els entered T2 just half a minute behind the early leader.

The thrilling cat-and-mouse game continued throughout the half marathon, with Els relentlessly chasing Langridge. By the second lap of three, Els caught up with Langridge, setting the stage for a sprint finish to determine the winner. Els clinched victory with an impressive sprint, completing the race in 4:20:48. Langridge secured second place in 4:20:57, and Radka Kahlefeldt claimed the third spot in 4:26:58.
