F-Teamer Kareena Lee has blitzed the Australian Open Water Swimming Championships claiming silver in both the 5km and 10km events at Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast.

Her two silvers were just reward for a challenging few months of training which included multiple altitude camps at Thredbo. Kareena revealed she was ecstatic with her medal tally.

"I wanted to make sure I put together the best possible race to give myself a real chance," Lee said.

However, it wasn't just the podium finishes and bling that got Kareena smiling. Her results guarantee her a seat on the plane to Portugal for the final Olympic qualifying race in June.

"The opportunity to join Chelsea Gubecka (gold medallist) in Portugal and to have two Australians in with a shot is very exciting, I can't wait."
