Taylor McKeown Going for Gold

With the 2015 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships in full swing we focus our attention to Commonwealth Games Champion Taylor McKeown as she sets her sights on gold in the 200m Breaststroke tonight.

A great swim in the 100m Breaststroke saw Taylor come home with Gold and a place on the Australian team. Finishing the 100m in 1:07.07, Taylor has qualified for World Championships to be held in Russia later this year, and tonight is looking to complete the double and take out the 200m event.

Currently ranked number 4 in the world for the 200m Breaststroke, Taylor is the fastest Australian this year.  With a quick swim last night of 2:24.51 she's already met the qualifying time for the 200m and will only need to finish in the top 2 to book her spot at World Championships.

Taylor has shown steady improvement with her PB times throughout the years and will be hoping this year will see even faster swimming. Will this year be the year where the Commonwealth Games Champion can break the world record?

Good luck Taylor!
